This is another great
choice for a first time companion
parrot. They are little smaller than the
average cockatiel but with a much more
parrot personality! These wonderful
little conures are common in a variety
of many different color mutations. They
are not loud at all like larger conures
which can reach ear piercing volumes.
They love human interaction and are
usually good with many different people
handling them. They are very cute and
have fun spunky clownish personalities.
They do go through a juvenile “nippy”
stage but this is a normal part of
growing up for all conures and they will
grow out of this stage and are
absolutely adored by their owners. I
wean my baby conures on to a pellet diet
along with fresh fruits, veggies and
grains as well as a small amount of seed
two to three times a week as a treat
